Kahuna is known for its huge top bud. Hawaiin heritage. Doesn't grow too tall but provides high yields with dense, heavy buds. The result is a very good smoke with an uplifting high.

I grew the Kahuna in a basic organic soil mix with Metanaturals fertilizers. Two 250-w MH lights were used, 10,000 K for veg and 6500 K for flower. I vegged for 4 weeks and ended up with one female out of five planted.
All were fairly similar, very tall and frail looking with small leaves. At 4 weeks they had just started to show some side branches. There was virtually no stretch after flipping from 16/8 to 12/12. I harvested at day 62 of 12/12. Total dried, trimmed yield from the one plant was 13.5 g.
During flower, the Kahuna didn’t really have a very strong or distinctive aroma, just sort of a generic sweetness. The smoke had very little flavor, slightly sweet maybe a bit piney, but mostly it’s like smoking slightly–flavored warm air. It produces a nice buzz from 2-3 hits, which means potency wise I’d rate it at about 8/10. I’d consider it pretty balanced, maybe a little more up at first then a little more down. Overall, a satisfactory smoke.
I grew the Kahuna with God Bud, and their potency is very similar. But given the small yield and lack of flavor, I’d probably only grow the Kahuna again if I did not have any more God Bud seeds. (Posted on 2/28/11)

A very hardy, fast growing, beauitful light green, tropical punch smelling plant.
I grew a variety of plants this past year which includes;
Sour Diesel
White Widow
PE xxx
Fast an stuby
along with a variety of unknown Indica seeds
I am most impressed by the Kahuna.
The density and girth of the bud almost looks like indoor.
The smell is amazing almost like tropical punch.
The smell starts to change as it comes close to harvesting, and loses the tropical punch smell it's replaced by a tropical skunky, fruity,coconut kind of smell and the taste is smooth and sweet.
The High is great and a very uplifting, non downer type of high.
I would especially recommend it to all outdoor growers.

I was very pleased with the excellent service and stealth shipping. I planted 5 Kahuna seeds directly in soil a little over a week ago. Within 3 days, 5 of 5 sprouted. However one died shortly after breaking the surface, another seems to be stuck at its first set of leaves, and another looks kind of sickly (twisted leaves). I planted one more seed a few days later to make up for the death, and it never sprouted. So out of 6 seeds planted, I may end up with 3 healthy plants. Not great. For comparison, the God Bud I got with the same order gave my 5 healthy plants from 5 seeds under the same conditions. (Posted on 1/10/11)

Kahuna is a very large,robust and vigorous plant.However I would never grow this strain again indoors or outdoors because the buds were of very low quality and yield compared to all the other varities there are to chose from.Great service and 100% germination rate from all of your seeds. They are exactly 10 weeks old two feet tall and from 2 inches off the ground they are solid buds 9 inches around. I grow totally organically and already they have a strong, sweet and very satisfying complex aroma with piney undertones. Also the pistils are uniformly a lovely pink color instead of being white. This is one beautiful strain. Inside growers keep in mind our days are only 11 hours from the time they sprouted and we get cloud cover and rain.
